Beijing (Gasgoo)- On January 16, Li Auto announced the full rollout of its OTA 7.0 system update, making it the first Chinese automaker to achieve all-scenario end-to-end highway/urban smart driving capability integrated with Vision-Language Model (VLM) technology. This update includes the advanced Li Auto AD Max V13.0 system, which aims for "zero takeovers" during intelligent driving operations.

A key highlight of OTA 7.0 is the AI inference visualization feature. Users can view the AI's decision-making process in real-time via the central control screen, significantly enhancing trust and confidence in complex scenarios such as time-specific bus lanes, T-intersections, and school zones.

The update also introduces new functionalities, such as intelligent turn signal reset, optimized parking interactions, and smart exit for perpendicular and angled parking spaces.

On the safety front, Li Auto has upgraded its Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK) system for better handling of unexpected situations. The system now includes enhanced highway driving strategies for foggy conditions, VLM recognition for snowy weather, and the new Rearward Mis-acceleration Inhibition (R-MAI) feature to improve safety in adverse weather and during reverse maneuvers.

The update process takes approximately 50–60 minutes, during which the vehicle will be inoperable. Users can schedule the upgrade via the central screen or the Li Auto app, ensuring the vehicle has over 8% battery charge and is parked.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
