[New-Type All-Solid-State Lithium-Sulfur Battery Unveiled, Promising Minute-Level Fast Charging and Tens of Thousands of Charge Cycles]
It is reported that the team led by Quanquan Pang from the College of Materials Science and Engineering at Peking University has developed a new-type glass-phase sulphide solid-state electrolyte material and used it to create an all-solid-state lithium-sulfur battery with excellent fast charging performance and ultra-long cycle life. This research provides a new technical solution for the development of next-generation power batteries with high specific energy, high safety, and low cost. On the 16th, the related research findings were published in the international academic journal *Nature*. Quanquan Pang stated that the newly discovered material and mechanism in this study are of great significance for expanding the performance boundaries of all-solid-state batteries and bring new opportunities for the advancement of all-solid-state lithium-sulfur battery technology. This achievement is expected to have a profound impact on multiple fields, including next-generation automotive power batteries, low-altitude flight power, and high-end electronic batteries.
