【Aluminum Prices Rebound, Secondary Aluminum Prices Diverge】Aluminum prices resumed their upward trend today, with SMM A00 aluminum prices rising by 180 yuan/mt from the previous trading day to 20,200 yuan/mt. The secondary aluminum market saw stable to slightly higher quotes. Domestically, large secondary aluminum enterprises raised their quotes by 0-100 yuan/mt to 20,800-21,000 yuan/mt, while small and medium-sized plants increased their quotes by 0-100 yuan/mt to 20,500-20,700 yuan/mt. On the import side, overseas prices for imported ADC12 ranged from $2,440-2,470/mt. With domestic prices rising, real-time losses for imported ADC12 narrowed to within 400 yuan/mt. Today, aluminum prices resumed their upward trend, and secondary aluminum market quotes showed slight divergence. Some manufacturers actively raised prices by 100 yuan/mt due to high costs and low inventory, while others indicated that transactions were slowing as Chinese New Year approached, leading to low sentiment for price adjustments before the holiday. Recently, as upstream and downstream sectors gradually enter the holiday period, secondary aluminum alloy prices are expected to see narrow fluctuations before the holiday.

Fed to Keep Large Banks' Capital Levels Unchanged, Postpones Stress Test Reforms Until 2027
The US Fed has announced that it will maintain the capital levels of large banks unchanged during the upcoming stress test cycle (corresponding to the 2026 cycle). At the same time, the US Fed is planning multidimensional reforms to this annual test, aiming to enhance its transparency. The US Fed's Vice Chair for Supervision, Bowman, revealed that adjustments to the stress capital buffer requirements for large banks will be postponed until 2027. This move is intended to provide the US Fed with sufficient time to evaluate potential flaws that may be exposed in its testing models when assessing banks' financial conditions under simulated economic downturn scenarios.
