[Farasis Energy's All-Solid-State Battery Makes Its Debut] SMM has learned that recently, Farasis Energy's sulphide-based all-solid-state battery made its debut during an event. This solid-state battery has entered the stage of industrialisation development, adopting a high-nickel ternary cathode and a high-silicon anode, with an energy density exceeding 400Wh/kg. The battery cell demonstrates stable cycling performance and significantly enhanced safety features, having successfully passed tests such as needling, shearing, and thermal chamber evaluations. It is equipped with a self-shutdown capability at the battery cell level to prevent thermal runaway. It is understood that Farasis Energy is advancing multiple electrolyte routes in the solid-state battery field, with significant progress in both semi-solid and solid-state battery products. The solid-state battery is expected to undergo scale-up validation in 2025. Farasis Energy is focusing on the high-nickel ternary + pouch + stacking process route, which is also the main technical route for solid-state batteries.
