The BYD Tang L model has been included in a catalogue recently issued by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- The BYD Tang L model has been included in a catalogue recently issued by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

According to information from MIIT, the BYD Tang L features a distinctive split headlight and sharp daytime running lights. The closed-off grille is accentuated by a chrome strip engraved with the logo "唐" (the Chinese character of Tang), showcasing the brand's signature style.

The side profile of the BYD Tang L includes an elongated and streamlined body. It adopts hidden door handles, blending futuristic aesthetics with aerodynamic efficiency. At the rear, the vehicle has a light strip that stretches across the car's width.

Measuring 5,040mm in length, 1,996mm in width, and 1,760mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,950mm, the BYD Tang L offers a three-row and seven-seat layout.

On the technology front, the Tang L can be equipped with optional LiDAR sensors, enabling advanced intelligent driving functions. It also offers an optional rooftop drone provided by the prominent drone solution provider DJI. Other optional features include 19-inch, 20-inch, and 21-inch wheels and a roof rack.

The BYD Tang L is available in both PHEV and BEV versions. The PHEV variant is paired with a 1.5T engine and an electric motor, delivering a maximum output of 115 kW and 200 kW, respectively. It offers three battery-powered range options: 135 km, 150 km, and 165 km.

The BEV version comes with single-motor and dual-motor setups. The single-motor variant boasts a maximum power output of 500 kW, while the dual-motor version offers 230 kW at the front and 580 kW at the rear, enabling a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of just 3.9 seconds.
