Shanghai (Gasgoo)- A recent filing in the latest batch of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's vehicle catalog unveiled the XPENG G7, a compact all-electric SUV likely priced around 250,000 yuan. The model is expected to be launched later in 2025.
The XPENG G7 adopts a design language similar to the XPENG P7+, featuring a sporty and sharp overall aesthetic. The front fascia includes a full-width LED light strip and split headlight design. The low/high beam assembly is integrated with the air ducts, enhancing the car's visual impact, while the wide, blacked-out lower grille adds a touch of athleticism.
On the side, the G7 showcases smooth and dynamic lines, complemented by striking new cross-shaped wheels, with a five-spoke option also available.
At the rear, the SUV features trapezoidal full-width taillights, although the central section is non-illuminated. A smoked rear diffuser and spoiler further emphasize the sporty character.
In terms of dimensions, the XPENG G7 measures 4,892mm in length, 1,925mm in width, and 1,655mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,890mm.
Although interior images were not disclosed in the filing, earlier leaks suggest the XPENG G7 will feature a cabin design akin to the P7+. This includes a 12.3-inch full liquid crystal instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch floating central touchscreen, and an 8-inch rear entertainment screen.
The XPENG G7 on file is equipped with a single electric motor delivering a peak power output of 218kW and a top speed of 202 km/h. It uses a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack.
