[BYD Is Reportedly Set to "Soon" Announce Plans to Build a Factory in Mexico] BYD Mexico General Manager Jorge Vallejo reportedly stated at an event showcasing the Seal 7 car model that the automaker is expected to "soon" announce plans to establish a manufacturing plant in the country. Vallejo noted that BYD's EV and hybrid vehicle sales in Mexico are projected to reach 40,000 units by the end of 2024. BYD aims to sell 80,000 cars in Mexico in 2025 and open an additional 30 dealerships. By the end of 2024, the company is expected to have opened 50 dealerships in Mexico.
