Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On January 9, Geely's Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group (Farizon Auto) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Sichuan Fulin Transportation Group Co., Ltd. (Fulin Transport), according to a post on Farizon Auto's WeChat account.

Under the cooperation, the duo aims to leverage their strengths in new energy ecosystem development, platform operations, scenario resources, and supply chain management. Both parties plan to cooperate on core areas covering customized passenger vehicle applications, promotion of X-VAN camper vans, and co-creation of methanol-hydrogen-powered products, striving for resource sharing and complementary advantages.

Fulin Transport's business scopes cover traditional operations, customized passenger transport, and modern logistics. In recent years, it has utilized its passenger transport resources to develop customized passenger services, exploring online and offline integrated development. Based on user needs, it targets routes ranging from 30 to 150 kilometers, aiming to provide "door-to-door" services that are safe, fast, and convenient.

By following the methanol-hydrogen electric technological route, Farizon Auto's product portfolio spans heavy-duty trucks, light-duty trucks, mini trucks, light commercial vehicles (LCVs), and buses. The company now has put its methanol-hydrogen electric technology solution into industrial operation, covering scenarios such as trunk line logistics, short-distance transport, urban distribution, engineering vehicles, and city buses.

Both parties plan to collaborate in the realm of green energy technology application and promotion, so as to co-develop methanol-hydrogen-powered products. This partnership aims to enhance Fulin Transport's operational quality and efficiency and advance the green transportation system in Sichuan province.

During the event, Farizon Auto and Fulin Transport also signed an procurement agreement for 100 units of the Farizon SuperVAN Yuecheng Edition ("Yuecheng" in Chinese pinyin) vehicle model. Besides, Farizon is set to provide Fulin Transport with customized new energy passenger-carrying vehicles and integrated service solutions to support the high-quality development of the latter’s customized passenger transport business.

The Farizon SuperVAN Yuecheng Edition, a new-generation Chinese new energy commercial passenger light van, is built on a purpose-designed electric vehicle platform. It offers class-leading interior space, customized leather seats, and a four-wheel independent suspension system with front double wishbone and rear trailing arm setups.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
