Beijing (Gasgoo)- On January 8 (PST), RoboSense and Pony.ai announced an expanded strategic partnership at CES 2025. As intelligent robotics continues to shape the future of mobility, the two companies have reached a consensus to deepen collaboration in the AI era, targeting autonomous driving and transport services across various high- and low-speed scenarios.

The partnership will integrate RoboSense's new-generation digital LiDAR with Pony.ai's autonomous driving domain controller, Land ("Fangzai"), delivering comprehensive, one-stop smart driving solutions. These technologies will address diverse urban and robotic applications, including last-mile delivery, urban logistics, sanitation, and mining operations.

Since 2019, RoboSense and Pony.ai have established a strong partnership spanning the entire business chain of autonomous driving and intelligent transportation. Their collaboration includes co-development for L4+ autonomous driving applications, which are expected to surge in 2026, while RoboSense enhances the perception and safety systems of Pony.ai's autonomous freight service brand, PonyTron, accelerating its adoption in the smart logistics market.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
