Beijing (Gasgoo)- On January 10, Chinese new energy vehicle maker Leapmotor showcased the range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) version of its C10 model at the Brussels Motor Show 2025. This marks the debut of its REEV technology in Europe.

Since launching in Europe and other regions in September 2024, Leapmotor has established over 400 sales outlets across 13 European countries, with plans to expand to 500 by the end of 2025. Over the next three years, Leapmotor aims to introduce multiple new models to international markets, with the C10 and T03 being the first offerings.

The C10, a B-segment family-oriented SUV, features Leapmotor's proprietary LEAP 3.0 technology architecture, including a centralized electronic and electrical system, integrated CTC (cell-to-chassis) solution, and a flagship intelligent cockpit. Meanwhile, the T03, a stylish A00- segment compact city car, combines spacious interiors typical of A0- segment vehicles with driving pleasure.

At the motor show, Leapmotor announced the European market launch of the C10 REEV. Offering over 950 km of WLTP-rated combined range and ultra-low CO₂ emissions of just 10 g/km, it addresses range anxiety while balancing sustainability and practicality. Orders od the model began on January 10, with deliveries set for March 2025.

In 2024, Leapmotor delivered nearly 300,000 vehicles, including 42,517 units in December alone, which indicated a 128% year-on-year soar. By leveraging its fully in-house R&D capabilities and partnership with Stellantis, Leapmotor continues to seize opportunities in the global new energy vehicle market.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
