【IMPORTANT：The first lithium auction activity of the SMM Trading Center Co., Ltd. of SMM was successfully completed with Tianqi Lithium Corporation to sell 60 tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate】On January 10, 2025, Tianqi Lithium listed 60 mt of battery-grade lithium carbonate on the bidding section of the SMM Trading Center's Anhuida platform. Started with the price of 75,900 yuan/mt. Shanghai Zidou Industrial Co., Ltd. successfully won the bid at a final price of 77,500 yuan/mt, with a premium of 1,600 yuan/mt and a premium rate of 2.1%. The transaction process was smooth and competitive.

On January 10, 2025, Tianqi Lithium listed 60 mt of battery-grade lithium carbonate on the bidding section of the SMM Trading Center's Anhuida platform. Started with the price of 75,900 yuan/mt. Shanghai Zidou Industrial Co., Ltd. successfully won the bid at a final price of 77,500 yuan/mt, with a premium of 1,600 yuan/mt and a premium rate of 2.1%. The transaction process was smooth and competitive.

Event Details

The auction trading function is a new form of spot trading recently launched by the SMM Trading Center Co., Ltd, aiming to help buyers and sellers improve trading efficiency, reduce transaction costs, and discover fair prices. This auction sale activity marks the first trial of the new function. The trading center will solicit feedback and suggestions from all participating traders to continuously improve system functions and rule settings, in order to provide better services.

The second session of the first batch of bidding transactions will be held in mid-January. For details of the event, please refer to subsequent announcements. Enterprises are welcome to actively register and participate.

According to Article 2.3.2 of the "SMM Battery-Grade Lithium Carbonate Index Formulation Standards," the SMM Trading Center Co., Ltd., as a trusted pricing platform for SMM, will incorporate bidding transaction data into consideration based on the SMM standard pricing system.

On January 10, SMM quoted battery-grade lithium carbonate at 74,800-76,600 yuan/mt, with an average price of 75,700 yuan/mt, up 200 yuan/mt compared to January 9.
