Gadolinium oxide prices stayed stable at 150,000 yuan to 153,000 yuan per mt, and holmium oxide remained steady at 410,000 yuan to 415,000 yuan per mt.

In the metal market, Pr-Nd alloy prices fell to 490,000 yuan to 493,000 yuan per mt, dysprosium-iron alloy prices ranged from 1.58 million yuan to 1.6 million yuan per mt, terbium metal remained at 7.2 million yuan to 7.25 million yuan per mt, gadolinium-iron prices stabilized at 148,000 yuan to 150,000 yuan per mt, and lanthanum-cerium metal prices were between 17,000 yuan and 19,000 yuan per mt. Influenced by market news, some suppliers actively lowered their quotes, but separation plant quotes remained relatively firm, with low-price transactions mainly coming from trading enterprises. Actual transactions at metal plants were moderate, and the market showed low acceptance of high-priced sources. Downstream magnet manufacturers primarily engaged in small-scale restocking, while market sentiment remained cautious. As the Chinese New Year holiday approaches, market transactions may gradually weaken, and rare earth prices are expected to remain relatively stable with a weak trend.

Rare earth developer Critical Metals Corp. (Critical Metals) approved $30 million in funding to accelerate development of its Tanbreez rare earth project in Greenland. Tanbreez is one of the world’s largest known rare earth deposits. The company said the funding would be used to advance drilling, infrastructure, engineering design, and mineral processing and metallurgical testing required for production. The move came as the US and its allies were building supply chains for critical minerals essential to electronics, national defense, and clean energy technologies.
