Geely Holding boasts 22% YoY leap in 2024 full-year automobile sales

Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (Geely Holding) announced via its WeChat account that its annual automobile sales volume jump 22% year on year (YoY) to 3,336,534 units in 2024.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Zhejiang Geely Holding Group ("Geely Holding") announced via its WeChat account that its annual automobile sales volume jump 22% year on year (YoY) to 3,336,534 units in 2024.

Of the vehicles the group sold last year, 1,487,954 units were contributed by new energy vehicles (NEVs), representing a YoY surge of 52% and accounting for 45% of Geely Holding's overall auto sales in the year.

In addition, Geely Holding recorded a full-year sales volume of 1,221,852 vehicles for its overseas markets, indicating a YoY rise of 21%.

Geely Holding encompasses key entities such as Geely Auto Group, Volvo Cars, PROTON, Lynk & Co, Lotus Cars, Polestar, LEVC (London EV Company), smart, RADAR, and Farizon Auto.

Geely Auto Group, comprising Geely (including Galaxy range), Lynk & Co, and ZEEKR brands, reported a sales volume of 2,176,567 vehicles for the year of 2024, witnessing a YoY leap of 32%. During the same period, its NEV sales amounted to 888,235 units, surging 92% from a year earlier. Meanwhile, its annual export volume zoomed up over 53% from a year earlier to 403,923 vehicles.

Breaking down the whole-year sales by specific brands, Geely Galaxy, the NEV range under Geely brand, scored a robust YoY surge of 80% in its 2024 vehicles, which came in at 494,440 units. Lynk & Co gained a YoY increase of 30% with 285,441 vehicles sold last year. Besides, ZEEKR delivered a total of 222,123 vehicles, which shot up 87% over a year earlier.

Volvo Cars reported a stable YoY increase of 8% in its annual sales volume, which stood at 763,389 vehicles. Of those, 46% share was occupied by NEVs.

Moreover, PROTON logged a sales volume of 152,352 vehicles last year.
