Chile's Lithium Carbonate Exports Declined Slightly in December 2024 but Rose Sharply YoY

[In December 2024, Chile's Lithium Carbonate Exports Reached Approximately 20,000 mt, Down 3% MoM]

According to Chilean customs data, in December 2024, Chile's lithium carbonate exports reached approximately 20,000 mt, down 3% MoM, up 56% YoY. Among them, exports to China were 13,400 mt (down 21% MoM, up 54% YoY); exports to South Korea were 2,655 mt (up 2.5% MoM, up 68% YoY); exports to Japan were 3,000 mt, with significant increases both MoM and YoY. For the full year of 2024, Chile exported a total of 241,000 mt of lithium carbonate, up 23.7% YoY. Among them, exports to China totaled 192,000 mt, up 43.8% YoY.
