SMM reported on January 7 that recent increases in silicon wafer prices have significantly pressured battery costs, leading to intense price negotiations and a widening price range in the Topcon solar cell market. The transaction price for Topcon 183 solar cells (with an efficiency of 25% or higher) was approximately 0.28-0.29 yuan/W (with the highest quoted price raised to 0.295). For Topcon 210RN solar cells, the transaction price was 0.27-0.285 yuan/W (with the highest quoted price raised to 0.295), while Topcon 210 solar cells were priced at 0.285-0.29 yuan/W (with the highest quoted price raised to 0.3). The upward trend in transaction prices for January has become evident. The rise in silicon wafer prices has rapidly driven up Topcon solar cell prices. Meanwhile, HJT solar cells have remained stable due to a lack of transactions, with the mainstream price for HJT 210 half-cell products at 0.36-0.38 yuan/W, though an upward trend is expected next month.
