French Government to End Electricity Price Protection Plan by Feb 1, 2025, with Prices Falling 14%

[The French Government Will End the Electricity Price Protection Plan on February 1, 2025] The French government is expected to end the electricity price protection plan on February 1, 2025. However, thanks to increased nuclear power production and declining market electricity prices, electricity prices will decrease by 14% to 0.215 euros/kWh. For an average household with an annual electricity consumption of 5,681 kWh, the annual electricity bill will drop from 1,429 euros to 1,220 euros.
