[SMM Analysis: December Lithium Battery Scrap Recycling Volume Remained Stable With a Slight Increase, Growth Mainly Driven by Pre-Holiday Stocking Demand]
In December, China's lithium battery scrap recycling volume saw a slight uptick. Downstream demand was mediocre, but pre-holiday stocking by some wet-process plants boosted overall industry production. The total recycling volume (in black mass terms) for the month reached 25,874 mt, continuing to grow both MoM and YoY after November. Among them, the recycling volumes of ternary and LFP battery scrap were 10,981 mt and 14,530 mt, respectively.
