Beijing (Gasgoo)- On January 2, automotive computing solution developer Black Sesame Technologies announced a deepened strategic partnership with Alibaba Cloud and Banma, an automotive tech firm under Alibaba Group. The collaboration aims to develop and promote integrated cabin-driving solutions for smarter and more efficient in-vehicle experiences.

In September 2024, Black Sesame Technologies and Banma began their cooperation to integrate smart cockpit and advanced intelligent driving systems onto a single chip, a step toward achieving seamless "cabin-driving integration." Utilizing Black Sesame's Wudang C1200 series chips, the companies have jointly deployed Banma's ASIL-D Hypervisor and a multi-system baseline for cabin-driving integration. Additionally, Banma successfully implemented its cockpit OS on the C1200 series chips.

The addition of Alibaba's Tongyi Qianwen (Qwen) AI large model completes this integration. The Qwen2.5-1.5B and Qwen3B models, already deployed on the C1200 chips, enable BEV smart driving model and AI large model to run on the same chip simultaneously, enhancing data security and response speed.

The Qwen model has secured partnerships with automakers like Changan, ZEEKR, XPENG, and Leapmotor.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
