and following the ranking methods of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and the Autonomous Region Federation of Industry and Commerce,

conducted the selection of the Top 50 Private Enterprises in Ulanqab for 2024.

I. Steady Growth in Revenue and Assets, Outstanding Economic and Social Contributions

  • Total revenue saw significant growth. The total revenue of the Top 50 Private Enterprises reached 81.38 billion yuan, an increase of 10.1% compared to the previous year. Six enterprises, including Inner Mongolia Xintai Industrial Group Co., Ltd., Ulanqab Xufeng Xinchuang Industrial Co., Ltd., and Jitie Ferroalloy Co., Ltd., were listed among the Top 100 Private Enterprises in Inner Mongolia for 2024;

  • Total assets steadily increased. The total assets of the Top 50 Private Enterprises reached 63.9 billion yuan, up 4.0% from the previous year; total fixed net assets reached 22.56 billion yuan, up 9.1%; total net assets reached 27.59 billion yuan, up 3.2%; the asset-liability ratio was 53.2%, down 2.3%;

    Tax contributions significantly improved. The total tax contributions of the Top 50 Private Enterprises amounted to 2.49 billion yuan, an increase of 420 million yuan or 20.3% compared to the previous year. Among the Top 50 Private Enterprises, 4 enterprises had tax contributions exceeding 100 million yuan, 8 enterprises contributed between 50 million and 100 million yuan, and 21 enterprises contributed between 10 million and 50 million yuan;

  • Employment absorption steadily increased. The Top 50 Private Enterprises employed a total of 29,000 people, an increase of 8.5% compared to the previous year. Among them, 7 enterprises employed more than 1,000 people.

II. Continuous Clustering of Advantageous Industries, Distinctive Regional Distribution

  • The driving role of advantageous industries was evident. The Top 50 Private Enterprises showed a high concentration in the secondary industry, with a significant driving role of advantageous industries. There were 6 enterprises in the primary industry, with total revenue of 1.6 billion yuan and total assets of 4.85 billion yuan. There were 41 enterprises in the secondary industry, with total revenue of 78.87 billion yuan and total assets of 58.87 billion yuan. There were 3 enterprises in the tertiary industry, with total revenue of 900 million yuan and total assets of 170 million yuan;

  • The Top 50 enterprises were distributed across all banners, counties, and districts. Enterprises from all 11 banners, counties, and districts were included in the Top 50 Private Enterprises. In terms of total revenue and total assets, the top three banners with the highest total revenue of included enterprises were Fengzhen City, Chayouqian Banner, and Jining District.

III. Increasing R&D Investment, Improved Innovation Capability

  • R&D intensity continued to grow. The total R&D investment of the Top 50 Private Enterprises reached 1.62 billion yuan, an increase of 12.3% compared to the previous year. The average R&D intensity was 2.34%, up 0.39% from the previous year;

  • Five enterprises had R&D investments exceeding 100 million yuan. Significant achievements were made in patent and brand development. The Top 50 Private Enterprises employed a total of 2,487 R&D personnel, an increase of 584 people or 30.7% compared to the previous year. They owned 515 valid domestic invention patents, an increase of 127 patents or 32.7% compared to the previous year;

  • Among the enterprises that conducted effective trademark registration statistics, 27 enterprises collectively owned 744 valid domestic registered trademarks.

This week, ferrous metals were in the doldrums, with coking coal and coke staging a mid-week rise. At the beginning of the week, financial markets experienced sharp fluctuations, dragging down sentiment in the ferrous chain and leading to a pullback in futures. Mid-week, Indonesia's cut to coke production quotas drove coking coal and coke futures to lead the gains, though the impact was more pronounced on thermal coal, while coking coal's rise was largely sentiment-driven and short-lived. In the latter part of the week, finished products continued their seasonal inventory buildup, and support from the raw material side weakened, causing the entire ferrous chain to pull back. In the spot market, with the Chinese New Year holiday approaching, purchasing activity slowed down further, with end-users only making limited, as-needed purchases at low prices.
