Geely Auto Group eyes annual sales of 2.71 million vehicles for 2025

Geely Auto Group is ambitious to achieve a year-on-year growth of 25% in overall vehicle sales, which are set at 2.71 million units.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Geely Automobile Holdings Limited ("Geely Auto Group" or "the Group") announced on Wednesday the annual sales target it set for 2025. It is ambitious to achieve a year-on-year growth of 25% in overall vehicle sales, which are set at 2.71 million units. Of those, Geely, ZEERK, and Lynk & Co brands account for 2 million units, 320,000 units, and 390,000 units, respectively.

In addition, the Group stated that it will strive to sell 1.5 million new energy vehicles (NEVs) in 2025, which would shoot up 69% from the previous year.

Geely Auto Group sold a total of 2,176,567 vehicles through 2024, representing a year-on-year jump of 32%.

Of the vehicles sold last year, 888,235 units were contributed by the new energy vehicle (NEV) business, indicating a 92% spike over the previous year. To be specific, the annual sales of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) came in at 576,488 units, which soared 86% from a year earlier, while the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) segment recorded sales of 311,747 units, displaying a robust leap of 104% from the year-ago period.

The Group also reported an export volume of 403,923 vehicles for the entirety of 2024, a year-on-year jump of 53%.

Breaking down the full-year sales by specific brands and product ranges, there were 1,669,003 Geely-branded vehicles sold last year, showing a 27% year-over-year increase. Of those, 494,440 units came from the brand's new energy vehicle range Galaxy, demonstrating a year-on-year hike of 80%. What's more, ZEEKR and Lynk & Co brands boasted year-on-year increases of 87% and 30% with 222,123 and 285,441 vehicles sold in the year, respectively.

Regarding the monthly sales for December 2024, Geely Auto Group boasted a 43% year-on-year leap with 210,055 vehicles sold in the month, which included 111,206 NEVs (+93% YoY). In the same period, the Group's export volume amounted to 24,527 vehicles, rising 21% over the year-ago period.
