FAW Group exports around 125,000 vehicles in 2024, up 36.2% YoY

In 2024, Chinese automaker FAW Group realized an export volume of around 125,000 vehicles, representing 36.2% year-on-year jump.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- In 2024, Chinese automaker FAW Group realized an export volume of around 125,000 vehicles, representing 36.2% year-on-year jump, according to the company's announcement on December 30.

The group's three core brands—Hongqi, Jiefang, and Bestune—showed steady growth in their global operations.  

Hongqi accelerated its expansion into high-potential markets, emphasizing its role as a leading Chinese luxury brand abroad. This year, the brand launched two major new energy vehicle (NEV) models in Europe, enhancing its international reputation and brand influence.  

FAW Jiefang, the commercial vehicle arm, maintained strong growth for the fourth consecutive year, driven by its robust product lineup and comprehensive service network. The brand now exports to over 80 countries and regions, including Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, Africa, and Eastern Europe, with more than 100 core dealers and 190 service providers globally.

Recently, Jiefang announced its "SPRINT2030" internationalization strategy, establishing FAW Jiefang International Company to further accelerate globalization across research, production, supply, sales, services, finance, and ecosystem development.  

FAW Group's wholly-owned passenger vehicle brand Bestune focuses on NEV market opportunities, expanding its global sales network and entering Southeast Asia and Latin America in 2024. The brand leveraged multiple export models, including complete vehicles, KD kits, and used cars, reaching 20 countries.  

Currently, FAW Group's gobal business spans 97 countries, supported by 170 primary overseas agents and 24 assembly plants in locations including South Africa, Tanzania, and Mexico.
