Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On December 25, Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer Li Auto revealed via its WeChat account that the company's supercharging network has already surpassed 1,400 stations, of which 700 stations are located along highways.

On December 11, Li Auto announced the launch of its 1,200th supercharging station.

According to the company, Li Auto has completed its supercharging network that covers China's 7 north-south and 3 east-west main highways, with 705 highway supercharging stations. The network fully connects major cities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta region, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the Chengdu-Chongqing region.

According to publicly available information, Li Auto's 5C highway superfast charging stations deliver charging speeds of 500 kilometers in just 12 minutes, with a peak power output of up to 520 kW per charger. For urban stations, the same range can be achieved in 25 minutes, with a peak output of 250 kW. Additionally, these highway facilities are equipped with charging guns weighing only 3.3 kg, offering 800V high-efficiency energy replenishment. The stations are also designed to operate with low noise and provide spacious parking areas.

Besides, Li Auto ensures each parking space at its 5C supercharging stations is equipped with an independent camera system that automatically detects vehicle occupancy, activates ground locks, and identifies and reports any safety concerns. Due to the system, real-time operating status and charging data of vehicles can be transmitted to Li Auto's cloud computing platform for back-end analysis, enabling the early detection of potential issues.

Li Auto plans to launch over 2,000 supercharging stations with 10,000 charging piles by the end of 2024.

As of December 25, 2024, Li Auto has deployed 1,405 supercharging stations, spanning 197 cities across China.
