Masteel Launches Third-Generation Self-Lubricating Galvanized Automotive Panels

[The R&D Chronicle of Masteel's Self-Lubricating Galvanized Automotive Panel] On December 19, at the quality inspection station of the No. 3 galvanizing line in the Cold Rolling General Plant, Ge Hao, Senior Chief Researcher of Automotive Steel Product Development at the Technical Center, was conducting an on-site inspection of the surface quality of self-lubricating galvanized automotive panels with production technical personnel.

"This is the third generation of self-lubricating galvanized automotive panels we have developed, and it is the first of its kind in China. The surface of these products is coated with a self-lubricating and environmentally friendly agent independently developed by Masteel, which effectively reduces zinc powder shedding during the stamping process, thereby ensuring the efficiency and quality of automotive outer panel part processing. It has been highly welcomed by users," Ge Hao introduced with delight. He further explained that the product has been supplied in bulk to multiple domestic automotive users, covering over 60 types of outer panel parts for more than 10 car models. Masteel has also become the only steel mill in China to achieve sales of over 100,000 mt of self-lubricating galvanized automotive outer panel products.
