According to SMM, in 2025, there will be two changes in the product names corresponding to tariff codes for copper-related products involving import and export duties, as follows:

1. In the "Provisional Import Tariff Rate Table," the product name corresponding to tariff code 74040000 will be changed from

“secondary brass raw material, secondary copper raw material” to “secondary copper and copper alloy raw material”;

2. In the "Provisional Export Tariff Rate Table," the product name corresponding to tariff code 74031111 will be changed from “high-purity copper cathode (copper content not less than 99.9935% but less than 99.9999%)” to “high-purity copper cathode (copper content higher than 99.9935% but less than 99.9999%)”.
