SCE Signs 15-Year RA Agreement for 150MW/600MWh Overnight Solar + ESS Project

[ESS Integration of 150MW/600MWh! Overnight Solar + ESS Project] Southern California Edison (SCE) has entered into a 15-year Resource Adequacy (RA) agreement with the US development arm of UK-based Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure. The agreement covers the Overnight Solar + ESS Project located in San Bernardino County, California, which includes a 150MW/600MWh battery ESS.

Although this specific agreement only covers the ESS, both parties have already reached an agreement on the power sales from the 150MW solar generation of the project. According to the recently signed RA agreement, the ESS associated with the Overnight Solar + ESS Project is expected to achieve grid connection in April 2027.
