Shanghai (Gasgoo)- BYD's professional personalized sub-brand FANGCHENGBAO recently announced that its BAO 3 model has been renamed as the TAI 3, which is scheduled to hit the market in January 2025. Positioned as an urban SUV, the TAI 3 is expected to be priced around 150,000 yuan, marking the brand's entry into the BEV (battery electric vehicle) market.
As the brand's first BEV model, the TAI 3 adopts the design language of the SUPER 3 concept model. The exterior features a closed-off front grille complemented by extensive smoked accents, giving it a futuristic appearance.
On the sides, the TAI 3 is equipped with flush door handles and scratch-resistant trims. At the rear, the model features a horizontal light cluster, a side-opening tailgate, and a black painted rear bumper.
Built on the DMO (dual mode off-road) platform, the TAI 3 features a unibody structure and dual electric motors delivering maximum outputs of 110 kW and 200 kW for the front and rear, respectively. The model is powered by a lithium iron phosphate battery manufactured by BYD's FinDreams Battery.
A standout feature of the TAI 3 is the optional drone-compatible cabin, enhancing the vehicle's practicality.
