Beijing (Gasgoo)- On December 27, Chinese new energy vehicle maker XPENG announced that cumulative production of the MONA M03 model reached 50,000 units within four months of its market launch.

The company revealed that its factory is now operating at full speed, with a new vehicle rolling off the assembly line every 72 seconds on average. Earlier this month, XPENG's CEO He Xiaopeng stated that the MONA M03 had achieved monthly deliveries of over 10,000 units for three consecutive months since its market release. The delivery cycle has been significantly reduced from 13-17 weeks to 7-11 weeks, with a stable weekly delivery rate of 4,000 units.

The XPENG MONA M03 officially hit the market on August 27 and began delivery in September. The vehicle is priced between 119,800 yuan and 155,800 yuan.

Measuring 4,780mm in length, 1,896mm in width, and 1,445mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,815mm, the M03 boasts a streamlined design featuring a drag coefficient of 0.194Cd.

Inside, it is equipped with a 15.6-inch central touchscreen powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and 16GB of memory. It also includes a proprietary vehicle operating system with features like 360-degree panoramic imaging and 3D perception mapping.

The MONA M03 offers two variants with L2 intelligent driving capabilities, featuring 20+ perception hardware components, including millimeter-wave radar, ultrasonic sensors, and cameras.

Powertrain options include electric motors delivering 140kW or 160kW and lithium iron phosphate battery packs of 51.8kWh or 62.2kWh, providing a range of 515km or 620km.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
