2025 DENZA D9 hits market with upgraded interior, smart driving features

On December 26, 2024, BYD's premium vehicle brand DENZA officially put the 2025 DENZA D9 MPV onto the market.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On December 26, 2024, BYD's premium vehicle brand DENZA officially put the 2025 DENZA D9 MPV onto the market. The model comes with 8 trim levels, including 5 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) variants priced between 339,800 yuan and 449,800 yuan and 3 battery electric vehicle (BEV) versions priced from 349,800 yuan to 469,800 yuan.

Although the new vehicle is an annual facelift, it features significant upgrades in both interior features and intelligent driving technology. Highlights include the addition of LiDAR sensor, the introduction of the "God's Eye" advanced driver assistance system, and the use of BYD's latest fifth-generation DM hybrid technology.

The 2025 DENZA D9 retains the overall style of the existing model, but with refined details. The front features a large chrome grille, with silver trim redesigned into an "L" shape, and sharp LED headlights on both sides, giving the vehicle a more elegant and impactful look. Additionally, the new model adds LiDAR on the roof and side cameras on the fenders to support advanced driving features.

The vehicle's body lines are sleek, with the waistline extending from the front fender to the rear. The rear continues the use of a full-width tail light design. The model is equipped with 18-inch multi-spoke wheels and bi-directional electric sliding doors.

In terms of size, the 2025 DENZA D9 measures 5,250mm in length, 1,960mm in width, and 1,900mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,110mm. Its height has been slightly lower than the previous model.

The interior of the 2025 DENZA D9 emphasizes a high-tech feel, while maintaining the luxurious style of its predecessor. It still features a 15.6-inch floating central control screen, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, and adds a 10.25-inch HD co-pilot screen, enabling a multi-screen interactive experience.

Other notable features include a 12.8-inch rear seat multimedia screen, a 5.2-inch smart refrigerator screen, a multifunctional double-LCD-setup in the center armrest, a HUD (head-up display) for the driver, and a streaming media rearview mirror. The vehicle supports connectivity of up to 10 screens, with individual screen control and shared multi-screen functionality.

In terms of seating, the second-row independent seats offer a one-touch zero-gravity mode. The second-row seats also feature an 1,080mm electric sliding rail to maximize space, along with 14-way power adjustments, leg rests, and a 16-point massage function for enhanced comfort. The third-row seats are equipped with three sets of child seat anchors, ventilation, heating, and seatbelt reminder features.

The 2025 DENZA D9 features a major upgrade in intelligent driving capabilities. The entire lineup is equipped with the "God's Eye" advanced driver assistance system, which includes a total of 32 sensors, including a LiDAR unit, enabling capabilities such as city navigation, highway and expressway navigation, and intelligent parking.

The 2025 DENZA D9 is powered by BYD's fifth-generation DM hybrid technology. The vehicle is equipped with a 1.5T engine, offering a maximum power output of 115 kW. The all-wheel-drive variants feature front and rear electric motors with peak powers of 200 kW and 45 kW, respectively, while the two-wheel-drive trims use a front electric motor with a maximum output of 200 kW.

The new model comes with a 39.938 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack. The CLTC battery-powered range is 200 km for the two-wheel-drive version and 190 km for the all-wheel-drive version. With a full charge and a full tank of fuel, the vehicle's combined range can reach up to 1,100 km (two-wheel drive) and 1,020 km (four-wheel drive).
