Beijing (Gasgoo)- On December 26, Huawei's smart car alliance, Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA), officially announced that the cumulative fixed orders for the AITO M9 new energy SUV have surpassed 200,000 units within one year of its market launch.

The milestone follows a previous announcement on October 10, when cumulative orders for the M9 exceeded 150,000 units. The AITO M9, which first hit the market on December 26, 2023, integrates multiple Huawei technologies and is priced from 469,800 yuan.

On September 10, 2024, AITO introduced the M9 five-seater variant to the market with three variants: the Max REEV (range-extended electric) version (469,800 yuan), Ultra REEV version (529,800 yuan), and Ultra BEV (battery-electric) version (569,800 yuan).

The M9 five-seater features a large cabin, with a 3,500 mm passenger space, luxurious interior, and comfort cloud seats equipped with heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The trunk offers a depth of 1,167 mm and a width of 1,236 mm.

Tech-wise, the M9 is equipped with HUAWEI ADS 3.0 intelligent driving system and advanced smart parking features, including ground projection of the vehicle's movement status during parking. World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
