Beijing (Gasgoo)- BMW will debut its new-generation ultra-sensory smart cockpit technologies at the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), including the panoramic iDrive and the Neue Klasse X operating system. These innovations will first be introduced with the Neue Klasse SAV model in 2025 and are expected to reach Chinese consumers by 2026.
The company has announced that the key digital experience areas for these Neue Klasse models will be co-designed by BMW's digital development teams in China and Munich. This includes intelligent personal assistants, navigation systems, user interfaces, and in-car ecosystem features. BMW will collaborate with top Chinese tech partners to explore generative AI, large models, and intelligent voice interaction to enhance the user experience, covering areas such as AI-driven large language models, smart voice assistants, in-car navigation, and gaming.
Additionally, BMW plans to optimize its voice engine technology in collaboration with Chinese tech firms, enabling its smart personal assistant to support natural language conversations without activation words. Powered by generative AI, the assistant will anticipate user needs and proactively offer assistance and recommendations. It will also feature a unique voice and localized knowledge base tailored for Chinese users, supporting services like voice search for popular content, navigation, and flight or stock queries.
