Beijing (Gasgoo)- On December 22, 2024, Lynk & Co officially released its first pure electric SUV, the Lynk & Co Z20, onto the market. The vehicle comes with a limited-time starting price of 135,900 yuan and offers three variants. It is now available for purchase at 364 Lynk & Co stores across 201 cities in China, with deliveries commenced.

The Lynk & Co Z20 adopts the brand's latest design philosophy, The Next Day, while introducing a new design principle, "Aero Efficiency," emphasizing aesthetics and aerodynamics. Its coupe-style fastback design features 13 drag-reduction optimizations, achieving an ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.25Cd and boosting its range by 52.5 km.

As a compact electric SUV, the Z20 boasts a 2,755 mm wheelbase, a versatile storage capacity of up to 450L, and an impressive 1,410L when the rear seats are folded. Its innovative adaptable island design transforms the center console into a refrigerator, warmer, or storage space.

Under the hood, the Z20 features ECARX's advanced Antora computing platform, a 7nm SE1000 chip from SiEngine, and the Flyme Auto intelligent cockpit system, which offers seamless interactions via a 15.4-inch touchscreen.

The Z20 also leads its segment with 4.5C fast-charging capability. Charging from 10% to 80% of its battery capacity takes just 15 minutes, adding over 370 km of range. A quick 8-minute charge adds 200 km of range, alleviating range anxiety for electric vehicle users.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
