On the morning of December 16, the unveiling and start production ceremony of the ultra-fine tungsten carbide powder intelligent production line technological transformation project, undertaken by the Second Company of Minmetals 23rd Metallurgical Construction Group Co., Ltd., was held at Zhuzhou Cemented Carbide Group Co., Ltd. This marked the official commencement of the trial operation phase of the project.
Li Zhongze, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Tungsten & High-tech Materials Co., Ltd., and Shen Huiming, Party Committee Member and Deputy General Manager, attended the event. Yao Xingwang, General Manager and Deputy Party Secretary of Zhuzhou Cemented Carbide Group Co., Ltd., and Hu Jianjun, General Manager and Deputy Party Secretary (acting as overall in charge) of Minmetals 23rd Metallurgical Construction Group Co., Ltd., delivered speeches respectively. Li Zhongze and Hu Jianjun jointly unveiled the project.
In his speech, Yao Xingwang stated that the ultra-fine tungsten carbide powder intelligent production line technological transformation project is one of the 102 major projects under the national "14th Five-Year Plan" and one of the "Top 100 Projects in Strategic Emerging Industries." The project received significant attention and strong support throughout its entire process, from initiation and approval to construction. He expressed gratitude to the management team of Minmetals 23rd Metallurgical Construction Group for their relentless efforts and dedication, which enabled the project to be successfully completed within 10 months. This project is not only a model of internal collaboration but also an important achievement of the partnership between the two parties. He hoped that both sides would continue to work together in the future to jointly promote high-quality development of their enterprises.
In his speech, Hu Jianjun reviewed the long-standing cooperation with China Tungsten & High-tech Materials, tracing back to the establishment of Zhuzhou Cemented Carbide Factory in the early 1950s, and now to the completion and operation of the ultra-fine tungsten carbide powder intelligent production line. Over the past 70 years, the two parties have weathered challenges together and developed into important strategic partners characterized by mutual support, trust, and win-win cooperation. He expressed hope that both sides would jointly respond to the "Minmetals Internal Collaboration Trillion-Yuan Market" initiative, using the completion and operation of this project as an opportunity to further expand cooperation areas, deepen mutual trust and benefits, and create a model of internal collaboration. The ultra-fine tungsten carbide powder intelligent production line technological transformation project is located within the factory area of Zhuzhou Cemented Carbide Group Co., Ltd. in Hetang District, Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province. With a total construction area of 23,800 m2, it is designed to achieve an annual production capacity of 3,000 mt of high-performance ultra-fine tungsten carbide powder, effectively ensuring the stability of the cemented carbide supply chain for Zhuzhou Cemented Carbide Group.
This project is the third collaboration in recent years between the Second Company of Minmetals 23rd Metallurgical Construction Group and Zhuzhou Cemented Carbide Group. Previously, the two parties successfully completed the 2,000 mt/year high-end cemented carbide rod production line technological transformation project and the 2021 medium-coarse tungsten carbide powder intelligent production line technological transformation project. Each high-quality project embodies the wisdom and efforts of both parties, witnessing their deep friendship and shared development journey.
