Kamoa Copper Renews Contract with JCHX Mining's Subsidiary for $993M Mining Work

According to SMM, JCHX Mining Management Co., Ltd. (603979) announced on the evening of December 20 that, in view of the expiration of the previous contract, Kamoa Copper SA, the owner, signed a contracting agreement with the company's subsidiary, Jin Gang Mining, for underground development and mining over the next five years to continue the construction and mining work at the Kamoa-Kakula Copper Mine. The scope of work includes drift mining near the connection between the main decline bottom and the southern decline, as well as east-west drift mining in the southern decline, among others. The total contract value is approximately $993 million (excluding VAT).
