[Year-End Market Slows Down; Non-Oriented Silicon Steel Prices May Fluctuate Next Week] This week, non-oriented silicon steel prices in Shanghai's cold-rolled market remained stable, with overall market transactions relatively weak. On the market side, HRC futures fluctuated downward this week, and HRC spot prices showed a slight decline, but the impact on non-oriented silicon steel prices was relatively small. The main reasons were the shortage of low-grade resources and the overall reduction in resource supply. In addition, the January 2025 non-oriented silicon steel futures policies of Baowu, Angang, and Bensteel Group remained flat, reflecting the difficulty of price increases for non-oriented silicon steel at the year-end. Recently, market traders have been operating cautiously, with some even indicating challenges in supporting year-end prices. Certain steel mills have maintained prices by offering percentage payables or delaying delivery of certain specifications.
