Kazakhstan Aims to Reach 163MW Renewable Energy Capacity by Year-End, Eyes $15.2B Investment by 2029

Kazakhstan is expected to achieve 163MW of renewable energy installed capacity by year-end. The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan announced that eight new renewable energy facilities with a total installed capacity of 163.35MW, including wind, PV, and hydropower projects, are to be completed by the end of 2024. Meanwhile, it plans to collaborate with partners such as China, Total Energies, and Masdar to develop larger-scale renewable energy projects, with an estimated investment of $15.2 billion in energy infrastructure by 2029.
