Beijing (Gasgoo)- On December 17, Chery's new energy vehicle range Fulwin officially released its A8L C-DM compact sedan onto the market. Coming with five variants, the new model is priced between 109,900 yuan and 149,900 yuan.

Customers purchasing the Fulwin A8L C-DM by January 31, 2025, will enjoy a 10,000-yuan cash discount, with trade-in subsidies of up to 20,000 yuan, reducing the effective price to 94,900 yuan–129,900 yuan.

The Fulwin A8L C-DM features a redesigned front grille and replaces the rear "CHERY" badge with the "FULWIN" series lettering. Measuring 4,790 mm in length, 1,843 mm in width, and 1,487 mm in height, the A8L is 10 mm longer than the A8, while other dimensions remain unchanged.

The model debuts Chery's C-DM 5.0 plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) system, delivering a combined output of 265 kW and 530 Nm of peak torque. The vehicle's full-charge, full-fuel range reaches an impressive 2,369.915 km, according to official testing. It also offers ranges of 70 km and 145 km on battery power alone.

Inside, the A8L C-DM replaces the dual integrated screen setup with a 15.6-inch floating central control screen and a rectangular fully digital instrument cluster, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. It supports Carlink, Huawei HiCar, Apple CarPlay, 50W wireless charging, and red-light countdown on navigation maps.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
