Beijing (Gasgoo)- On December 17, TuSimple officially unveiled its first video generation large model, "Ruyi", releasing the Ruyi-Mini-7B version as open-source. Users can now download the model on Hugging Face, complete with detailed deployment instructions and ComfyUI workflows for quick implementation on consumer-grade GPUs, such as the RTX 4090.

Ruyi is designed to excel in frame consistency, smooth motion, and natural color rendering, unlocking new possibilities for visual storytelling. The model is particularly optimized for anime and gaming scenarios, making it an ideal creative tool for ACG (anime, comics, and games) enthusiasts.

TuSimple emphasized that as competition intensifies in the AI-generated content (AIGC) sector, practical applications will drive generative AI advancements. The Ruyi model aims to reduce development cycles and costs for anime and game content by addressing specific industry pain points.

The current Ruyi release supports keyframe-based generation, allowing users to input key frames and generate up to 5 seconds of subsequent video or produce smooth transitions between two key frames. Future updates will further refine scene-based content generation, including the direct creation of CUT sequences, catering to diverse creative needs. TuSimple plans to release two additional versions in its next update to provide even greater flexibility for content creators.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
