Chery iCAR V23 full-electric SUV hits market, starting at 99,800 yuan

On December 16, Chery's new energy vehicle brand iCAR officially put the iCAR V23 retro-inspired compact all-electric SUV onto the market.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On December 16, Chery's new energy vehicle brand iCAR officially put the iCAR V23 retro-inspired compact all-electric SUV onto the market. Coming with two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive variants, the new model is priced from 99,800 yuan to 139,800 yuan.

The iCAR V23 features a distinctive retro aesthetic, complemented by modern touches such as LED light strips and millimeter-wave radar. Measuring 4,220mm in length, 1,915mm in width, and 1,845mm in height with a 2,735mm wheelbase, the SUV offers off-road-ready specifications, including a 41° approach angle, 35° departure angle, and 210mm ground clearance for the four-wheel-drive version.  

Inside, the iCAR V23 is equipped with a 15.4-inch central control screen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, supporting 5G connectivity, CarPlay, V2X, and voice control. It also allows integration with gaming consoles and other devices.

The advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) is built on the Horizon J3+TDA4 solution, featuring an 8MP front camera, 3MP surround cameras, 5 millimeter-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars. Functions include Highway NOA (navigation-on-autopilot), emergency lane keeping, traffic jam assist, automatic parking, and memory parking.  

Power options of the iCAR V23 include a single-motor rear-wheel-drive version with 136 hp and a dual-motor four-wheel-drive version delivering 211 hp of peak power. The CLTC-rated range is 401km and 501km, respectively, with fast-charging capabilities enabling a recharge from 30% to 80% of its battery capacity in 30 minutes. Notably, the iCAR V23 also comes with a special edition targeting young consumers, which features a two-wheel-drive system and 301km of range.
