Beijing (Gasgoo)- On December 16, JAC Group and Huawei celebrated the inauguration of the MAEXTRO Super Factory in Hefei, Anhui Province. The facility is a world-class intelligent manufacturing hub integrating digital R&D, green low-carbon production, and brand service experiences.

Once fully operational, the factory is expected to achieve an annual output value exceeding 100 billion yuan, said JAC Group.

The MAEXTRO Super Factory was established to ensure the high-quality production of vehicle models like the MAEXTRO S800, which debuted on November 26. Priced between 1 million yuan and 1.5 million yuan, the MAEXTRO S800 opened for pre-orders the same day.

Equipped with nearly 1,500 intelligent robots, the factory automates key processes such as welding, painting, and adhesive application. Leveraging a digital foundation of "one cloud, one network, one platform," it uses a C2M (Customer-to-Manufacturer) model to enable personalized product configurations and agile manufacturing.

The factory is also pioneering green manufacturing, featuring a carbon footprint management system and energy-efficient technologies. It is among Anhui province's first zero-carbon industrial parks. With advanced AI applications, 86 inspection gates, over 25,000 quality checkpoints for real-time, and traceable monitoring throughout the production process, the factory ensure superior quality control.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
