Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On December 17, XPENG's CEO He Xiaopeng addressed several key issues of concern to MONA M03 owners through a Weibo video update.

The primary focus was on delivery capacity and production status. Since the launch of the MONA M03, the first production model under XPENG's MONA series, 40,000 units have been successfully delivered. Currently, the company maintains a stable delivery rate of 4,000 units per week, and the delivery cycle has been significantly reduced from the initial 13–17 weeks to 7–11 weeks.

In response to owners' inquiries about when the Sentry Mode will be available through an over-the-air (OTA) update, He Xiaopeng provided a clear timeline: the Sentry Mode is expected to be officially launched before the Spring Festival in January next year, with the engineering team working overtime to expedite its implementation.

Regarding the AI Tianji system, He Xiaopeng stated that it is anticipated to be rolled out in the second quarter of next year. The team is currently engaged in the detailed integration and optimization of new software and hardware capabilities to ensure a seamless rollout.

On August 27, XPENG officially put the MONA M03 compact sedan onto the market, offering three different trim levels priced from 119,800 yuan to 155,800 yuan. The Max version will start deliveries after the Chinese New Year holiday in 2025.

On September 20, XPENG announced that just 22 days after the MONA M03 went on sale, over 10,000 units have been produced. This achievement also marks the rollout of XPENG' 500,000th mass-produced vehicle.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
