Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On December 16, a signing ceremony for introducing strategic investment to SAIC Anji Logistics was held at SAIC Motor's headquarters. COSCO SHIPPING Holdings Co., Ltd. ("COSCO SHIPPING") and Shanghai International Port (Group) Co., Ltd. ("SIPG") participated as strategic investors, each contributing 1 billion yuan to subscribe to 75 million yuan in new shares of SAIC Anji Logistics.
Following the completion of the capital increase, SAIC Anji Logistics' registered capital will rise from 600 million yuan to 750 million yuan, with COSCO SHIPPING and SIPG each holding a 10% stake.
The newly raised capital will be used to expand SAIC Anji Logistics' international business, including the development of a RoRo (roll-on/roll-off) shipping fleet and supporting logistics services, creating a "door-to-door" full-chain international service system to facilitate the overseas growth of Chinese automakers.
SAIC Motor has established a comprehensive automotive value chain overseas, encompassing innovation R&D centers, production bases, marketing hubs, supply chain centers, and financial services. Its products and services span more than 100 countries and regions worldwide. From January to November this year, its overseas sales reached 937,000 vehicles.
As a subsidiary of SAIC Motor, SAIC Anji Logistics has pioneered an integrated transportation model combining road, rail, and waterway, covering nearly 600 domestic cities and over 100 countries globally, with an annual transport capacity of 10 million vehicles.
SAIC Anji Logistics is also a leader in coastal and river-port logistics in China, operating a "T-shaped" logistics network that connects major ports in Shanghai, Dalian, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan, Chongqing, and Taicang. Internationally, it has formed a "friendly port" partnership with the BLG Logistics, the operator of the car-handling terminal at the German port of Bremerhaven. Additionally, it operates a self-owned fleet of 32 automobile vessels, including 11 river ships, 9 domestic trade sea vessels, and 12 foreign trade sea vessels, serving eight international routes across Southeast Asia, Mexico, South America, Europe, and Oceania.
In recent years, SAIC Anji Logistics has strengthened its global network by establishing subsidiaries in Thailand, Indonesia, North America, Mexico, Europe, and the UK, along with dedicated capacities in these regions. It now manages over 800,000 vehicles annually on controlled road routes and serves more than 10 port terminals. The company also offers warehousing and transport for vehicles and parts across the Americas, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Oceania, while developing backhaul roll-on/roll-off business in Europe, Mexico, and Southeast Asia.
