Shanghai (Gasgoo)- DeepWay, a smart new energy truck developer supported by Baidu, and Xinjiang Silk Road Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. (Xinjiang Silk Road Supply Chain) signed a procurement agreement for 72 new energy heavy-duty trucks, with the first batch of 22 vehicles handed over to the latter at the same time in Kuitun, Xinjiang, according to a post on DeepWay's WeChat account.

At the event, Xie Wei, general manager of Xinjiang Silk Road Supply Chain, revealed, "After comparing various products, we ultimately chose DeepWay's trucks. These vehicles feature industry-leading battery technology, offering long range and fast charging capabilities. They meet our daily transport route demands, significantly improving operational efficiency and injecting new vitality into our company's future growth."

Huang Weiqi, general manager of DeepWay in the Xinjiang region, highlighted, "In 2024, we've set new delivery records for new energy heavy-duty trucks, from Linyi, Yinchuan, Chenzhou, Tongchuan, Zhengzhou, Dujiangyan, to Kuitun. The frequent attainment of orders exceeding 100 vehicles from a single client strengthens the confidence of our investors, suppliers, and clients and underscores DeepWay's unstoppable growth trajectory."

Under the cooperation, Xinjiang Silk Road Supply Chain placed an order for72 new energy heavy-duty trucks from DeepWay, with the first 22 units already delivered. These trucks will primarily transport coal over a 70-kilometer route. Even in extreme conditions with temperatures as low as -20°C, the trucks demonstrate an average energy consumption significantly lower than that of electric trucks.

This collaboration represents an important strategic move for DeepWay in Xinjiang and a key initiative in promoting green upgrades and intelligent transformation across the logistics industry. DeepWay said it plans to be committed to technological innovation and product optimization, providing clients with efficient, eco-friendly, and intelligent transportation solutions to usher in a new era of smart logistics.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
