Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese lithium battery supplier EVE Energy recently held a ceremony to mark the entry of equipment at its Malaysia factory, the company announced on December 14 via its WeChat account.

The Malaysia factory, also designated as EVE Energy's 53rd plant, focuses on producing cylindrical batteries for power tools and electric two-wheelers. The facility represents a critical step in EVE Energy's "global manufacturing, global cooperation, and global service" strategy.

Construction of the factory began in August 2023 and was completed in just 16 months. It is scheduled to begin operations in the first quarter of next year. Once operational, the facility will be EVE Energy's first overseas factory to achieve mass production and delivery, serving markets across Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America.

With over 20 years of experience in cylindrical battery R&D and manufacturing, EVE Energy has supplied more than 3 billion units of cylindrical batteries worldwide. The company offers comprehensive cylindrical battery solutions across various applications, scenarios, and sizes.

In addition to the Malaysia plant, EVE Energy is expanding its global footprint with plans to establish battery factories in Hungary and the UK.

Earlier this year, in July, EVE Energy announced it had held the groundbreaking ceremony for its joint venture in the United States, AMPLIFY CELL TECHNOLOGIES LLC (ACT), in Mississippi. ACT, co-founded by EVE Energys U.S. subsidiary alongside Cummins, Daimler Truck, and PACCAR, would produce prismatic lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries primarily for North American commercial vehicles. The project, with an annual production capacity of 21 GWh, is expected to begin deliveries in 2026.

To further strengthen its global strategy, EVE Energy has introduced the "CLS Global Partnership Model," which emphasizes Co-development, License, and Service to support global collaboration. This asset-light operational model complements its existing battery business and has been integrated into the company's five strategic business segments.
