Shanghai (Gasgoo)- BYD recently put five new energy vehicle (NEV) models, including the BYD HAN, BYD ATTO 3 (named BYD Yuan Plus in China), BYD SEAL, BYD SONG PLUS DM-i, and BYD QIN PLUS DM-i, onto the Omani market, according to a post on its WeChat account.
Meanwhile, the company also celebrated the opening of three flagship showrooms in the city, marking a significant step in BYD's market expansion into the Gulf region and highlights its commitment to driving the adoption of electric vehicles in the area.
At the event, AD Huang, General Manager of BYD Middle East & Africa, emphasized the alignment between BYD's mission to promote green mobility and Oman's Vision 2040 for sustainable development. He expressed that this partnership would provide a strong impetus for achieving their shared goals.
Mr. Abdullah Mohamed Bahwan, Managing Director of Corporate of Saud Bahwan Group, praised BYD's Blade Battery technology and its leadership in the NEV sector. He highlighted the strategic significance of BYD's entry into Oman's passenger vehicle market, viewing it as a key driver of the country’s energy transition and sustainable development.
The three flagship showrooms BYD newly opened in Oman are located in prime locations: Wattayah, Al Mouj, and Mall of Oman. The showroom at the Mall of Oman is the first automotive showroom within a shopping mall in the country, offering consumers a convenient platform to explore NEV technologies. BYD plans to deepen its collaboration with local dealer partners, expand its sales and service network, and provide customers with a seamless car-buying experience and high-quality after-sales support.
BYD also announced plans to introduce the BYD SEALION 07 model to further diversify its NEV lineup and meet the growing demands of Oman's market. By rolling out innovative products and technologies, the company remains committed to advancing green mobility solutions in Oman and across the Gulf region, contributing to a more sustainable future.
