Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On December 9, GAC International officially unveiled its Europe office in Amsterdam, the capital city of the Netherlands, according to a post on its WeChat account. The inauguration marks a new chapter in the company’s market expansion into Europe and signifies a step to accelerate its overseas business development.
The new office plans to serve as the hub for the company's operations in Europe, focusing on market expansion, brand promotion, and sales services. It is poised to drive deeper integration between GAC and the European market, with a commitment to localizing operations and rapidly responding to the needs of local consumers.
Jin Yuan, Economic and Commercial Counselor, Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, remarked in his speech: "As a founding member of the EU and Europe's gateway, the Netherlands holds strategic importance in the region. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the China-Netherlands open and pragmatic comprehensive partnership. We look forward to GAC Group not only delivering exceptional products and services to European consumers but also fostering meaningful collaborations with local enterprises. Together, we can drive the energy transition and advance green development in the Netherlands."
Mr. Thomas Schemera, Global Chief Operating Officer of GAC International, added: "At the Paris Motor Show 2024, we officially launched our brand and models in the European market. Today's unveiling of the GAC International Europe office marks another significant milestone, symbolizing our steadfast commitment to a long-term vision of integrating into and contributing to Europe. Through this platform, we aim to bring GAC's high-quality vehicles and diverse services to the European market."
GAC's presence in Europe began with its debut at the Paris Motor Show in 2018, marking the start of a deep connection with the region. By 2022, the company had taken strides in its European expansion by establishing a design center in Milan and an Europe headquarters in the Netherlands, which is set to build a talent team to implement local operations, enhancing its adaptability and competitiveness.
This year, GAC resumed its presence to the Paris Motor Show, where it unveiled its "European Market Plan". The company is committed to developing the European market with a long-term dedication to mutual success and inclusive growth. At the motor show, GAC introduced its first global strategic model the AION V, which will be available to European consumers next year. GAC Group plans to expand its product lineup in Europe, with a B-segment SUV and a B-segment hatchback over the next two years.
