Beijing (Gasgoo)- Changan Automobile's new energy vehicle brand NEVO recently released images of its all-new mid-to-large SUV, the C798, signaling the beginning of the brand's 2.0 product era.

According to previous information, the C798 was designed by a global team led by renowned designer Klaus Bischoff, involving 915 designers from 31 countries.

The NEVO C798 features a modern design with split headlights and a star-ring LED light strip that enhances its visual presence. Its closed front grille, coupled with pronounced hood lines, conveys a dynamic look. Additionally, a roof-mounted LiDAR unit hints at the integration of advanced intelligent driving systems.

The new SUV's profile showcases a nearly straight roofline for ample headroom, flush door handles, and aerodynamic wheels to minimize drag. The vehicle measures 4,837 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,690 mm in height, with a 2,905 mm wheelbase.

Under the hood, the C798 is powered by a plug-in hybrid electric system that consists of a 1.5L engine, which pumps out up to 72 kW.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
