Beijing (Gasgoo)- On December 12, 2024, AVATR Technology (AVATR) and Huawei Technologies signed a comprehensive agreement at Huawei's Shenzhen headquarters to deepen their strategic collaboration in product development, marketing, and ecosystem services fields.

The expanded collaboration builds on their shared vision of "software-defined vehicles." The duo will work together to deliver tech-forward vehicle series on a brand-new architecture.

This agreement follows AVATR's recent equity investment in Huawei's subsidiary, Shenzhen Yinwang Intelligent Technology Co. Ltd., symbolizing a new milestone in their collaboration. Both parties plan to attract top-tier resources and talent to bolster AVATR's development and accelerate innovation in the intelligent vehicle industry.

Since the start of their strategic partnership in January 2019, Huawei and AVATR have worked closely to leverage their strengths in intelligent automotive technologies. Together, they have successfully developed the AVATR 11, AVATR 12, AVATR 07, and the upcoming AVATR 06 models, achieving their "four models in four years" goal. Notably, AVATR's three exisiying models on the market exceeded monthly sales of 10,000 units consecutively in October and November 2024.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
