Yibin's LFP Project Update: 19 Billion Yuan Investment, 76% Kiln Installation Completed

19 Billion Yuan! Update on the LFP Project in Yibin, Sichuan

According to the Naxi Economic Development Zone in Yibin, Sichuan, the kiln installation for the 50,000 mt LFP production line of Tiancheng Lithium's 100,000 mt per year LFP cathode material project is in full swing. As of now, 76% of the kiln installation for the 50,000 mt LFP production line has been completed, and it is expected to be finished by the end of December 2024, with trial production of the 50,000 mt LFP production line starting in February 2025. The second phase of the 50,000 mt LFP cathode material project is expected to commence construction in February 2025 and be completed and put into operation by the end of December 2025.

Tozero Launches Industrial Demo Plant to Recover Lithium from Waste Batteries

German company, Tozero, announced on March 27 (local time) the official launch of its industrial-scale demonstration plant. The company has built a facility at the Gendorf chemical park in Bavaria, Germany, capable of processing more than 1,500 tons of waste batteries annually. The process enables the recovery of lithium carbonate, graphite, and nickel-cobalt mixtures from spent batteries for reuse as battery raw materials. The plant is expected to recycle resources equivalent to batteries from approximately 6,000 electric vehicles per year, reducing reliance on landfill disposal.
