Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On December 5, Farizon, the new energy commercial vehicle maker under Geely Holding, showcased several new energy vehicle (NEV) models, including the Farizon SV (super van), the H9E intelligent light-duty truck, and the U11M methanol-hydrogen bus, at the IMXpo 2024 in Hong Kong, marking the brand's official entry into the Hong Kong market.
The Farizon SV, making its Hong Kong debut, became a highlight of the event with its announced pricing. Its key features include a concealed high-strength B-pillar for enhanced payload capacity, a spacious cargo area, fast-charging capabilities, robust power output, and long-range performance. The model emphasizes safety with high-strength materials and rigorous testing, alongside 30 intelligent safety features for comprehensive protection. Its streamlined urban design, LED headlights, and a low drag coefficient of 0.29Cd further enhance its modern appeal and energy efficiency.
Also launched during the event was the H9E, Farizon's first smart light-duty truck developed on a proprietary NEV platform. Following a major optimization in October 2024, the H9E is tailored to meet a variety of transport needs with exceptional flexibility.
Another star of the show was the U11M methanol-hydrogen bus, which the company said adopts the world's first methanol-hydrogen electric technology solution. By using methanol as a liquid hydrogen substitute for power generation, the model offers a practical and economical upgrade to traditional EV charging solutions.
Farizon is accelerating its global expansion strategy. At the IAA Transportation 2024 in Germany September this year, the company strengthened international partnerships and committed to delivering green, efficient, and intelligent NEV solutions worldwide. The Farizon SV is expected to enter markets in Europe, Australia, and the Middle East beginning in early 2025.
