Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese ride-share service operator Dida Chuxing ("Dida") recently announced a strategic partnership with JD Auto and Allianz JD, aiming to leverage their respective strengths to create innovative solutions tailored to the ride-sharing ecosystem. The collaboration will focus on developing customized insurance products and enhancing post-trip services to better serve Dida's carpool service users.

In the insurance sector, Dida and Allianz JD plan to introduce offerings such as trip cancellation coverage, road-trip protection, and travel insurance, designed specifically for carpool scenarios. Both drivers and passengers will have access to these protections. Future expansions will include niche services, such as pet-friendly trip coverage, catering to diverse user needs.

"This partnership enables Dida to provide more personalized and comprehensive travel protection on top of its existing standard offerings," a Dida product representative said.

On the post-trip services front, Dida will collaborate with JD Auto to offer users value-driven options for car washing, vehicle insurance renewal, refueling, maintenance, and automotive products, utilizing scenario-based and personalized recommendations. Additionally, JD Auto Service will serve as Dida's official partner platform for these services.

As the partnership deepens, Dida, JD Auto, and Allianz JD will explore further opportunities in vehicle maintenance, usage, car insurance, and travel-specific insurance, fostering innovative solutions for mutual growth.

Mr. Huang Ruimin, Vice President of Products at Dida Chuxing, highlighted the synergy between JD Auto's one-stop automotive services, Allianz JD's expertise in customized insurance, and Dida's carpool service ecosystem. He noted that the collaboration would move beyond traditional traffic-sharing models, delivering more scenario-driven, personalized, practical, and value-rich insurance and post-trip services to users.

Dida Chuxing now has over 18 million certified drivers and nearly 380 million registered users. In 2023, the platform achieved a year-on-year growth of 33.3% in average monthly active driver volume and 29.7% in active passengers. It continues to expand its service scenarios, including long-distance travel, intercity rides, and pet-friendly options, driving demand for customized insurance and vehicle services.

JD Auto, a comprehensive automotive consumption platform under JD.com, spans areas such as vehicle maintenance, usage, used car sales, automotive finance and insurance, and car sales. Its extensive range of products and services enhances Dida users' travel and vehicle ownership experiences.

Meanwhile, Allianz JD, a joint venture between JD.com and Germany's Allianz, offers a wide array of insurance products, including e-commerce insurance, travel insurance, accident coverage, and auto insurance, with professional, tailored solutions for corporate and individual clients.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
